MEET THE DOCTORS
Dr. David s. Wiener,DDS.:
Dr. David S. Wiener earned his D.D.S. from Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University. Followed by advanced training in all phases of dentistry for both typical and special needs patients as Dental General Practice Resident at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. Prior to his Dental education he earned his Bachelor's from Drew University, graduating magna cum laude and elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society, making his parents intensely proud. Dr. Wiener and his wife still live in Smithtown. Their two children, now grown, went to the same Smithtown schools as their father attended a generation earlier.
In an ever-changing profession, Dr. Wiener has continually expanded his knowledge, advanced his art, and mastered new technologies and techniques. He is truly a perpetual student, having amassed well over 2,000 hours of continuing dental education. He possesses a wealth of highly advanced training and vast experience. He is a career long member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, New York State Dental Association, and American Dental Association. When he's not in the office, Dr. Wiener prefers to be outdoors, hopefully on a golf course or fishing with friends.
Dr. Umair Hassan D.D.S., M.Sc.:
Dr. Umair Hassan earned his D.D.S. from State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2019. Followed by advanced training in all phases of dentistry for both typical and special needs patients as Dental General Practice Resident at St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. He brought to his new home and country years of prior dental experience both as a practicing dentist and as a faculty member at Jinnah Medical & Dental College, Pakistan. He earned his Master of Science in Oral Biology from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom in 2011, and his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Baquai Medical University, Pakistan in 2009. He is both well-educated and well-traveled, with the expanded perspective that comes from studying abroad. He's also multi-lingual, he speaks Urdu, Hindi, and of course, English.
Dr. Umair Hassan is a talented and empathetic dentist with a friendly demeanor and an admirable dedication to providing the best of care. He is a member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, New York State Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He and his wife live in Dix Hills, where she grew up, the daughter of a pharmacist at the Northport V.A. Hospital. They have two young children who keep him running and humble.
Dr. Robert L. Wagner, D.M.D:
Dr. Robert L. Wagner, D.M.D. served Smithtown and the surrounding communities for 40 years,
retiring in 2018. He continues to be a patient at his former office, and he and Dr. Wiener remain the
best of friends, they see each other all the time. Bob and his wife live in the village of Huntington.
He is a father of 2 grown children, 3 grown stepchildren and a proud grandpa of 7 grandchildren, most of them live nearby. Beloved by everyone, he’s earned his new titles: "Dentist Emeritus" and "Senior Retirement Activities Consultant", and can regularly be found on a golf course, usually with Dr. Wiener.
MEET THE TEAM
When you walk in, the smiling face that greets you is likely to belong to Majo (pronounced “Ma-ho”) Larrea, our Treatment Coordinator. Majo handles scheduling of appointments, financial matters, and all other businesslike things expertly and efficiently. To her right is her partner in chaos control: Liz Kerns. You've probably spoken to one of them on the phone, you'll find them both to be very friendly and helpful.
If you have dental insurance, Majo and Elizabeth will handle your claims with perseverance and good cheer. They are both extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the complexities of dental benefits, financial arrangements, and scheduling. Both are excellent listeners as well and are always willing to lend an ear to any of your concerns.
In the treatment rooms, and just about everywhere else, our Dental Assistants: Rossy (pronounced “Rosie”), Vargas, Alice Jeon, Sue Caprioli, Pat Muller will care for you like their own family. Their cheerful, comforting presence and TLC put even the most apprehensive patients at ease.
If you need preventive or periodontal treatment, you will receive highly professional and tender loving care from our Dental Hygienists: Brittany Haviland, R.D.H. and Lisa Miraglia, R.D.H. Their expertise and genuine concern for you will benefit you for a lifetime.

and expertise can help you get the maximum benefits out of your insurance.
To help you fit the treatment that you want into your life, we offer flexible payment arrangements, including monthly payments with no interest, and longer-term plans of up to five years. We offer a Pay Today Courtesy for payment in full when you are ready to start treatment. Please ask us for more information.

Your comfort is very important to us
We offer Nitrous-Oxide and Oxygen (sweet air). If you've never had sweet air, it feels similar to the effects of a few glasses of wine, only safer. It can be very helpful with young children and people who experience significant anxiety during dental treatment. We are highly skilled at getting you completely numb. We use the latest anesthetics and techniques to assure your
comfort during treatment and minimize the time you stay numb after we've done.ts. We use the latest technology and techniques to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care possible.
We make every effort to respect that your time is as valuable as ours
You'll be seen on time or very close to it. We set aside a significant part of each day's schedule for emergency patients, that means your appointment won’t be delayed unnecessarily because we've "squeezed someone in". By the same token, when you have a dental emergency, we have time to see you.

We have early, late, and Saturday hours for people whose busy lives simply don't fit into traditional hours. If you need extensive treatment, we're willing to make long appointments in which we can accomplish a lot, so you don't have to keep coming back for treatment that drags on and on.
